At the end of August, Lukas, Honest and Shaun from our executive underwriting team took a break from Joburg’s fast pace to unwind at the scenic Schoemanpark Golf Club in Bloemfontein. The occasion? Tau Pele Construction’s 2025 Charity Golf Day, an event blending sport, networking and a strong sense of purpose.

PCBS proudly backed Hole 18, helping raise R750,000 for a good cause. “We’ve shared a great partnership with Tau Pele Construction over the years, so it was a real pleasure being involved – not just as sponsors, but also with Shaun enthusiastically taking part on the course,” says Lukas.

Swinging into action

No stranger to the green, Shaun represented PCBS with flair. He gave a standout performance at Hole 10, sinking a birdie from an impressive 50 metres. “That shot was a highlight, no doubt – but what made the day unforgettable was the energy, the amazing people and the chance to support something meaningful,” Shaun shares.

Par-tee with a purpose

Following a successful day on the course, guests gathered for a laid-back dinner and prizegiving. Tau Pele Construction celebrated the day’s top performers, while emcee Hammie Wessels and award-winning country singer Riaan Benadé delivered an evening of crowd-pleasing entertainment.

“This event brought together everything we value: strong relationships, positive energy and a meaningful cause,” Lukas reflects. “A big thank you to Tau Pele Construction for hosting such a well-run and enjoyable event – we’re already looking forward to the next one!” he adds.
